Adopted Practices Relating to Intoxication, Disorderly or Offensive Behaviour
Adopted Practices Relating to Intoxication, Disorderly or Offensive Behaviour
The Committee and Members of Seaford Sports and Social Club has expectations that all members and guests on the premises and grounds behave in a socially appropriate manner.
We require our members and their guests to reform from acting in an offensive or disorderly manner.
All members and their guests will ensure that they do not risk another person's health or safety.
The Committee will promote the effective use of powers provided by the Liquor Licensing Act 1997 to deal with incidents of intoxication or disorderly and/or offensive behaviour.
Members and/or their guests who attempt to gain entry to the premises in an intoxicated state will be asked to leave the premises.
Members and/or their guests who behave in a disorderly or offensive manner either on entry or whilst on the premises will be asked to leave the premises.
Alcohol will not be served to a person who is clearly intoxicated.
Should a member and/or their guests pose a risk to the health or safety to another person(s) on the premises and do not agree to leave the premises, the Police will be contacted for assistance.
If a member and/or their guests commit any of the offences, the matter will be brought to the Committee and appropriate action taken. This may include barring from the facilities:
Barring periods may range from:
A period of up to three months for a first barring, or
Up to six months for a second barring, or
Indefinite barring for a third barring
In addition the Committee may bar a person indefinitely (or a specified period) in the case of the welfare of the barred person or that of a person residing with the barred person, being seriously at risk as the result of the consumption of alcohol by the barred person.
